Safe Steps is the only 24/7, family violence response centre in Victoria, providing a “state-wide entry point” for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence. Services include information and referral, crisis response, specialist family violence risk assessment, safety planning, Webchat, and access to supported crisis accommodation.

Job Description
THE ROLE
The Office Administrator will be responsible for overseeing various office and business functions, administration, and facilities management. This role is the point of contact for people across the organisation, supporting teams to ensure the organisation run smoothly.
PAY LEVEL: SCHADS Level 2 - Pay Point 1 ($33.41) CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time – Max Term (4 Months)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all office operations – Overseeing day to day functions requirements including supplies & stock control, cost management and regular liaison with building management, cleaners and other suppliers.
Reception front desk – phone screening, welcoming guests, maintaining meeting rooms and coordinating mail.
Providing Administrative Support – Work closely with directors to provide administrative assistance by scheduling meetings and preparing documents and meeting rooms.
Site and Equipment Security – issuing of access cards, performing site inductions, maintaining office logs, the car booking system and car park allocation.
Workplace Health and Safety – Coordination and Secretariat Duties, facilities requirements, evacuation site maps, site risk assessments with other committee members.
Identify and implement projects and initiatives that could benefit the office and/or wider organisation, and contribute to office initiatives and improvements.
Desired Skills and Experience
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA - Essential
Relevant administration and customer service experience
Active listening skills & well-developed professional communication skills (written and spoken)
Computer literacy including basic skill level with Microsoft Office
A willingness to be agile and adapt to any changes in the day to day
A current Working with Children Check or willingness to acquire one.
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
